Amidst the rumors surrounding the upcoming Galaxy Note 5, Samsung has hinted about the development of an Edge variant for its next Note flagship handset.

This new detail came from the support page of Samsung for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Samsung did not directly discuss the existence of the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy Note 5 Edge in the page. Instead, it explained how the optical image stabilization feature of the company's current flagship device can be utilized to change the positioning of the camera lens.

However, after analyzing the source code of the page, it was revealed that the company referenced two devices that have not yet been unveiled or introduced to the public. According to the support page, these mysterious devices have the model numbers SM-N920 and SM-N925F, Sam Mobile reported.

Since the current Note models, namely the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge, are numbered SM-910 and SM-915, various sources speculated that the mysterious devices mentioned by Samsung are the next iterations of the series. It other words, they might be the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy Note 5 Edge.

The South Korean tech giant, however, did not go into detail regarding the features of the two unofficial devices. But, based on the page's source code, the next Note variants will come with the same 5-megapixel front camera configuration as the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

As for the Galaxy Note 5's features, various rumors suggest that the upcoming device will come with a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. It will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 7422 chipset, which GSM Arena noted is an improved version of the Galaxy S6's Exynos 7420 SoC.

According to a recent report from Sam Mobile, the upcoming Note flagship handset will pack 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The site claimed that this detail was confirmed by Samsung insiders.

The device will have at least 32GB of internal storage. Some sources reported that the Galaxy Note 5's native memory might be expandable through the device's microSD support.

It is expected to come with a 16-megapixel rear camera, 4100mAh battery and the stock Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.

There are no reports yet regarding the possible specs of the Galaxy Note 5 Edge but as its name suggest, the device will probably sport a curved-edge design.

Despite the emergence of new information regarding the Galaxy Note 5 and its Edge variant, Samsung has not yet directly confirmed details regarding these two models.
