Are Amy Adams and Gal Gadot happy with their respective roles on ‘Batman V Superman?’ The actresses revealed details on the D.C. characters Lois Lane and Wonder Woman at Comic-Con in San Diego, California on Saturday, July 11.
Adams was cast as Lois Lane, alongside Henry Cavill in ‘Man of Steel’ in 2013. Director Zack Snyder described Adams to be “one of the most versatile” actresses in Hollywood. He continued that the actress had “the talent to capture all of the qualities” fans “love about Lois.”
“I’ve wanted to play Lois Lane since I was five years old,” said 40-year-old Adams.
Lois Lane is an award-winning journalist who works for the Daily Planet media company in Metropolis. She is Clark Kent's co-worker and his love interest. Lois is in love with his alter ego, Superman. The director's vision of Lois is a “smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious, and beautiful” woman.
Gadot, an Israeli model was cast as Wonder Woman in 2013. She is known for her role as Gisele in ‘Fast and Furious 6.’ She reflected on her role by saying that she “wanted to show that women are empowered and strong.” She added that women "can take care of themselves using their intelligence and their power.”
“I’ve been given a huge opportunity to show this strong beautiful side of women. She has the strength of a superhero but at the same time she’s loving, sophisticated and has a lot of emotional intelligence,” said 30-year-old Gadot.
