When "iZombie" season two returns to the small screen, lead character Liv Moore (played by Rose McIver) won't have that much friends to surround her with.

Her best friend Peyton (played by Aly Michalka) fled to who knows where after she and Liv were attacked by a zombie in their apartment. Forced by circumstances, Liv turned full zombie mode, thereby scaring Peyton, who was supposed to go on a romantic trip with Liv's colleague and confidante Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (played by Rahul Kohli).

"Everyone does hate Liv right now," show creator Rob Thomas told Entertainment Weekly. "As we start season two, Major is still not quite over the fact that Liv did not let him in on her zombie secret. Of course, Peyton is still on her walkabout around Europe as we start season two. For reasons that we've all probably have seen, she's a bit on the outs with any surviving family members that she has."

To recall, Liv's mother asked her to donate blood for her brother Evan after an explosion at Meat Cute landed him in the hospital E.R. Of course, with Liv being zombie, she has no blood to donate, so she was forced to walk away. This act would undoubtedly upset her mother and brother, should he live, so Liv will not have any family to turn to next season.

Moreover, she turned her ex-fiance Major into a zombie after he was shot by her nemesis Blaine (played by David Anders), and Major accused her of being selfish. Liv then decided to give him the other half of Ravi's cure to turn him back into a human, while the other half she injected on Blaine.

Moreover, Max Rager's head Vaughn (played by Steven Weber) will make sure that the city's zombie problem will be eliminated, prior to the release of his energy drink Super Max.

"The zombies on the offensive in season one are going to be on the defensive," Thomas revealed. "It will make strange bedfellows of Blaine and Liv, who are both concerned about the dwindling zombies in season two."

Despite the bleak circumstances for Liv, the actress who plays her still chooses to look at the glass half full and said that Liv will soldier on with her work at the morgue and police station. "I'm getting my guitar back out and I've got a few things I sing," McIver said.

iZombie will return on Tuesday, October 6 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
