"Game of Thrones" showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff, together with director David Nutter are all in trouble, since they decided to end the show's season five with the most shocking twist imaginable - they killed off one of the most well-loved characters of the show - the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Jon Snow.

Nutter told Entertainment Weekly at the 2015 Comic-Con held recently that he was approached by none other than United States President Barack Obama and was asked about the true fate of Snow, who was played by Kit Harrington.

"Three weeks ago, I was the in the company of the President of the United States. He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, 'You didn't kill Jon Snow did you?'" he shared.

Apparently, Obama is a huge fan of "Game of Thrones," and even revealed that the Red Wedding episode from season three was his favorite. In that episode, Lord Walder Frey betrayed the King of the North, the young Robb Stark and killed him, his wife, his mother Catelyn, and the rest of their men after his uncle wed one of the Frey girls.

It is an intimidating thing to do, upsetting the President, but Nutter decided to be honest and bravely answered, "I said, 'Jon Snow is deader than dead.'

"I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I'm here - but he's dead," he laughingly shared.

Nutter added that Obama complained, "You keep killing off my favorite characters."

And he is pretty sure that majority of "Game of Thrones" fans feel the same way. A lot of people, including Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the series are holding out hope that Snow will still find his way back to season six, even though Harrington and the showrunners kept insisting that he is really dead.

Some people are holding out hope that Snow managed to warg into his faithful direwolf Ghost just before dying, since Stark family members have the ability to do this. On the other hand, there are some who think that he might have turned into a White Walker.

A couple of fans have sworn that they saw Snow's eyes change color just before the credits rolled in, while many believe that his character will be resurrected from the dead by Melissandre, who just so happened to be in the Wall during his death.
