Previously, it was reported that football superstar Lionel Messi will be featured in the international cover art for the upcoming "FIFA 16" game.
Now, game publisher EA Sports has confirmed that the Barcelona forward will be joined by his fellow athlete, Juan Cuadrado of Cheslea, according to SB Nation.
According to a tweet from EA, Cuadrado will appear in the Latin American cover art version of "FIFA 16" along with Messi. The athlete was awarded the spot after receiving the most votes for the cover of the game in Latin America.
He was able to beat other prominent footballers such as Sergio Aguero of Manchester City, Claudio Bravo of FC Barcelona, Jose Rondon of Zenit St. Petersburg and Carlos Zambrano of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Earlier in June, Metro reported that Messi will be joined by Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson on the cover of the game for the U.K. market.
The latest installment in the "FIFA" game series is scheduled to be released on September 22, 2015 in North America. It will hit the European and U.K. markets on September 24 and 25 respectively.
The game will be available for Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 platforms.
As for its game play details, EA previously announced that gamers will be able to replicate Messi's signature move, the "No Touch Dribbling," in "FIFA 16." The publisher noted that the move is not exclusive to Messi and can be executed using different characters in the game.
Also, for the first time in the game series' history, "FIFA 16" will feature the Women's National Teams. This includes women's teams from Brazil, Australia, Canada, China, England, Germany, France, Mexico, Italy, Spain, U.S.A. and Sweden.
Gamers will be able to play these teams in the game's Match Day, Offline Tournament Mode and Online Friendlies. However, as noted by EA, there are currently to no plans to include matches that will pit men's teams against women's teams.
