Jada Pinkett Smith's role in the "Gotham" television series is done, and so now the actress is looking to be a part of another superhero universe - this time, as a superhero.

Everybody already knows Batman's villains Joker and Penguin, but in "Gotham," Pinkett Smith played a completely new villain named Fish Mooney. During an interview with MTV UK, the actress revealed that she would actually love to play Vixen, who just might appear in the "Suicide Squad" sequel.

"There's a character that I love in the DC World. Her names is Vixen.  Probably haven't heard much of her. She's kind of in that 'Suicide Squad' world as well. I love Vixen. If there was any character, I would love to play her. I'm going to have to put my little word in with the director..." she said.

The real name of Vixen is Mari Jiwe McCabe, and she first appeared in the DC Comics back in 1981. Her special ability is reaching into "The Red," which is a fictional force that connects all animal life on the planet. Because of this, she can make use of the traits of any animals that ever roamed the Earth - be it the speed of a cheetah or the strength of a bull elephant, therefore making her quite the formidable opponent.

Pinkett Smith's husband Will Smith will be a part of the original "Suicide Squad" film as Deadshot, and other cast members include Cara Delevingne as the Enchantress, Scott Eastwood as Steve Trevor, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.

Despite being notorious villains, the Suicide Squad team will be taken out of the Belle Reve Federal Penitentiary, which is a special prison for metahumans and super villains. Their unlikely team is created by Doctor Amanda Waller, who directs them from the White House. The government has decided to release them and reduce their sentences under one condition - they have to complete covert missions.

The film will be directed by David Ayers, and produced by Richard Suckle, Charles Roven, and Colin Wilson. Roman Vasyanov is the cinematographer, while D.C. Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment are the production companies for the film. It is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

"Suicide Squad" will hit cinemas on August 5, 2016.
