The beta testing for the "Street Fighter V" is scheduled to officially kick-off on July 23 exclusively for PlayStation 4 gamers.
Since the event will be a Closed Beta Test Ticket, only selected gamers will be allowed to join in, IGN reported.
For those in North America, they can participate in the event by pre-ordering "Street Fighter V" through various online retailers such as the PlayStation Network, Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop. After pre-ordering the game, they will receive a special key code on July 20 which they can use to access the "Street Fighter V Closed Beta Test Ticket."
As for PlayStation Plus members in selected Asian countries, they can join by downloading the beta test version of the game through the PlayStation Store between July 9 and July 14.
After doing so, gamers will be notified on July 21 if they have been selected to participate in the event. Only those from Indonesia, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan are eligible to test the beta version of the fighting game.
IGN noted that although Australian and European gamers can sign-up for the event through PSN Beta, this does not ensure that they will be able to play.
As to what gamers can expect for the "Street Fighter V" beta test, which will run for five days, Sony announced through the PlayStation blog that during the first few days of the event, gamers will only have access to Ryu, Nash, Chun Li and M. Bison. Other characters such as Birdie and Cammy will be unveiled later as developer Capcom tests out its online net code and content delivery system.
The matches for the event, which does not include the local versus mode, will take place in London's Terminal Station stage, China's Bustling Side Street and New Zealand's Forgotten Waterfall.
The full and final version of "Street Fighter V" is scheduled to be released in March of 2016. It will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows platforms.
