While the widely anticipated boxing match between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao had been long done, it appears that the undefeated champion is still not over the face off. In a recent Instagram video posted by "Money," the boxer used a dummy punching bag as a tool to taunt the Filipino warrior, according to USA Today. As the clip made rounds via social media, it was clearly only a matter of time before Pacquiao catches a whiff of the latest insult thrown against him courtesy of the American boxer.

Instead of gearing up for a bitter exchange of words, however, the congressman decided to take the high road and chose to shrug off the insults hurled against him by Mayweather. In addition, the Filipino boxer even asked his fans and followers to extend their patience and understanding to the American fighter, citing the unfortunate family life and upbringing of the latter.

"We should understand Floyd Mayweather Jr. because of his family background," said Pacquiao, addressing the Instagram video clip that showed his recent opponent talking smack to a dummy her openly addressed as "Manny," according to Philippine Boxing. The Filipino fighter went on to say, "He hailed from a family of ex-convicts and he himself is an ex-convict. We could not blame him because his action just showed the kind of family upbringing he had."

Pacquiao continued to illustrate his point, citing the past cases filed against Mayweather including those linked to domestic violence. He said, "It only reminds me of what he did to his ex-wife. I hope he would find time to reflect on his life and repent for the sins he committed in the past." At least five of the women linked to Mayweather in the past filed physical abuse charges against him, according to The Guardian. However, the boxer repeatedly denied the allegations and pointed out that there were "no pictures" to prove these. Hence, Mayweather dismissed the claims as "just hearsay and allegations."

For his part, Pacquiao gave his two cents on the how a true champion must conduct himself. He shared, "A real champion is gracious both in his words and conduct." He added, "Someone who is a champion not just in his chosen field of endeavor but even in his own home and private life."

While the video was definitely offensive and disrespectful, Pacquiao said that he refuses to make the issue bigger by responding in the same manner. He said, "I still respect him as God's creation and I won't resort to such kind of a low blow just to get his attention." Pacquiao added, "He's just like a lost soul still groping in the dark. I pray that may God touch his heart so he will discern the real meaning of love and life."

Earlier reports indicate that the recent bout between Pacquiao and Mayweather caused both of their net worths to surge, with the match being taunted as one of the most expensive fights in history.
