Huawei held a press event on Tuesday to officially introduce its latest handset, the Honor 7.

The handset is currently available in China and comes in three variants, according to NDTV.

The Chinese smartphone maker's latest device sports a metal unibody design and packs a 5.2-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It is equipped by Huawei's octa-core 64-bit Kirin 935 processor and the Mail-T628 GPU from ARM.

For its storage capabilities, users can choose between three different variants. One model packs 16GB while the other variant has 64GB. The third model, which also has 16GB, can support dual SIM cards.

All three variants have 3GB of RAM. Their memories can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card.

In terms of camera features, the Honor 7 has a 20-megapixel rear shooter equipped with phase detection autofocus and Sony's IMX230 sensor. On the other side, the handset features an 8-megapixel front camera.

The device's connectivity options are supported by NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1.

All three variants of the Honor 7 have a fingerprint sensor located below the main camera. This feature allows users to unlock and access the device with a single tap. Also, the handset runs on a 3100mAh battery that can charge from zero to 100 percent capacity in just under one hour and 30 minutes.

The 16GB single-SIM variant costs CNY 1999 or around $321 while its dual-SIM counterpart is priced at CNY 2199 or roughly $354. The 64GB version can be purchased for CNY 2499 or $402. All three Honor 7 variants come with the stock Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Currently, Huawei's latest handset is only available in China and is scheduled to hit stores on July 7, Techno Buffalo reported. There are no official announcements yet as to when the Honor 7 will debut in other countries.
