Sony will be celebrating the fifth anniversary of its PlayStation Plus by giving away free gifts to the gaming service's loyal members.
In addition, the line-up of free games that will be available through PlayStation Plus for July will be revealed this week.
In a PlayStation blog post, Sony announced that June 29 marked the fifth anniversary of the PlayStation Plus. As a way of thanking its subscribers, the company will be handing out limited edition gifts.
The company, however, did not go into detail regarding the nature of the gifts. Sony only noted that these will be delivered directly to the members and only those who have been PlayStation Plus subscribers since 2010 are eligible to receive them.
"To celebrate those of you that have been with us from the very beginning, a limited edition gift will be arriving in the mail for those of you that have been part of the journey since the very start," Sony wrote.
"Think you may be one of them? Then keep a close eye on your emails as we'll be getting in touch today," the company added.
Latin Post speculated that since the gifts will only be given to loyal members, they may be personalized based on the gamers' status and activities on PlayStation Plus.
Aside from handing out gifts, Sony will also release a new roster of free games through the PlayStation Plus in July. The titles haven't been named yet but the company is expected to make the announcement within the next few days.
Gampur reported that the line-up might include "Guilty Gear XRD -SIGN-" for the PlayStation 4 and "Batman: Arkham Begins Blackgate" for the PlayStation Vita based on the revelation by Sony Japan.
However, it is not yet officially confirmed if these two games will be included in PlayStation Plus' July 2015 roster or if they will be available across various regions.
