Jon Snow is not dead, or at least, that's how some "Game of Thrones" fans choose to believe things. Fans were left dumbfounded when Kit Harrington's character was betrayed and stabbed several times by his brothers from the Night's Watch, and many have played that shocking scene again and again in hopes of gaining more clues about Snow's fate in the show.

Show creators Dan Weiss and David Benioff as well as Harrington himself have insisted that Snow will not be back for season six, but some fans have chosen not to believe them, and instead clung on hope that there will be some way they will still see Harrington in "Game of Thrones" - be it as a White Walker, as his dire wolf Ghost, or just about anything.

An avid fan claimed to see the color of Snow's eyes change somewhat as he was lying in the snow, so there might be a chance that Snow will become a White Walker in the future. Or maybe, since Melissandre was seeking refuge at the Wall, she might intervene and bring the ill-fated Lord Commander of the Night's Watch back from the dead.

Vanity Fair has actually picked on some bread crumbs about Snow's true fate, and one of these crumbs is the July 10 "Game of Thrones" comic con panel. Harrington is missing from the panel list, which is surprising since many other actors whose characters bit the dust still made an appearance in comic con after, such as Jason Momoa (who played Khal Drogo), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), and Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell).

Weiss and Benioff are curiously missing too, leading people to think that they might be avoiding hard-hitting questions that might lead them to spill some important spoilers.

Talking about Snow's death, Benioff actually said "Dead is dead," which is the same phrase found in the very first page of the very first book of "A Song of Ice and Fire" which is in reference to wildlings who come back to life.

Moreover, casting info for season six revealed a character described as "a man in his thirties or forties who is a great swordsman and a paragon of knighthood. He carries a hugely famous sword on his back," and many people believe that he is none other than Arthur Dayne, who carries the "Sword of the Morning."

He was the best friend of Rhaegar Targaryen, and he was one of the Kingsguard members who fought with Ned Stark and the others as they stormed the Tower of Joy to save his sister Lyanna.

It is widely speculated that Snow is actually the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna, and if this is really true, why would the show still tread on this storyline if not establish Snow's rightful and royal lineage?
