With the onslaught of blockbuster films coming his way, it comes as no surprise to the fans and followers of the "Jurassic World" star, Chris Pratt, that he is also headlining magazines left and right. In the July issue of Men's Health magazine, the actor is featured in the cover. Ironically, however, Pratt revealed in the same media platform that he might go back to his "fat" self again once he quits acting for good, according to E Online.
While Pratt admits that his "transformation" from the bulky and fat guy seen in the movies to the hunk and muscular leading man he is today "motivated" people to spare time to deal with their health and physical well-being, the actor is also quite open about the fact that he might not be able to keep up this physique for the rest of his life.
He shares, "But everyone should know when the movie star stuff is over, I might go back to being the fat guy." Pratt explains that the reason for this is his wife's, actress Anna Faris, cooking. He adds, "My wife wants a pizza oven-she's going to learn how to bake bread, and I'm going to eat it."
However, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star also points out that he understands and appreciates the advantages of having a sound body as opposed to his earlier overweight self. He says, "I love the health benefits of exercising, and I have a kid now." Pratt add, "By exercising, you really can add 20, 30 years to your life. But you gotta live too, so hopefully I'll find a nice balance."
Pratt also reveals that he suffered from anxiety and discontent in the past due to his size. He says, "It nagged me when I wasn't physically fit." The "Magnificent Seven" actor then continues to share, "It was just another thing on my to-do list that I wasn't capable of getting done."
Prior to getting his muscular physique today, Pratt actually lost weight for "Zero Dark Thirty." However, he was not able to maintain it and found himself gaining pounds by the day. Feeling "kind of [expletive]" with himself, Pratt decided to go back to his routine and strive to become "fit again."
Meanwhile, Pratt also gave his two cents in one of the most controversial topics in Hollywood today - the objectification of women. "There are a lot of beautiful women who got careers out of it, and I'm using it to my advantage," the actor says, according to Health.com. "And at the end of the day, our bodies are objects. We're just big bags of flesh and blood and meat and organs that gives us to drive around," he adds.
