Robin Williams’ final drama movie ‘Boulevard’ is the last film to feature the Oscar-winning actor in person since his death in 2014.

The fan-favorite star takes on a leading role on ‘Boulevard’ and plays Nolan, a middle-aged man who cannot seem to attain happiness in life, remaining in a passionless commitment to his wife.

However, his life is changed after crossing paths with Leo, played by Roberto Aguire, with whom he is able to have a strong emotional bond. Eventually, Nolan accepts his true identity and seeks to live as his authentic self.

"Maybe it's never too late to finally start living the life you really want," shares his friend Winston, portrayed by ‘Better Call Saul’ star Bob Odenkirk, as shown in the trailer that was unveiled this week.

Kathy Baker takes on the role of his wife, Joy.

"I love you, Joy," Nolan tells her. "That was never a lie."

Baker has previously worked on dark fantasy movie ‘Edward Scissorhands’, romantic comedy flick ’13 Going on 30’ and, more recently, ‘The Age of Adaline’ which made its premiere in May and also starred Blake Lively and Harrison Ford.

‘Boulevard’ made its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April and is scheduled for a release on July 10.

"This is one of the kindest characters Williams has ever played, which makes his self-imposed turmoil—the consequence of not wanting to hurt anyone, least of all his wife—all the more tragic," film critic Peter Debruge wrote in his review for Variety.

He also compared the late actor’s performance and the emotions he evoked with the loneliness induced in films such as ‘Good Will Hunting’ and ‘One Hour Photo.’

“The actor projects a regret so deep and identifiable, viewers should have no trouble connecting it to whatever is missing in their own lives—whether those regrets are romantic, sexual, professional or spiritual,” Debruge further described.

‘Boulevard’ is not Williams' last film. Before his death, he was able to film comedies, such as ‘A Merry Friggin' Christmas,’ which was released last November. He also made an appearance in ‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb,’ which premiered the following month and saw the actor reprise his role of Teddy Roosevelt.

Moreover, Williams was also a member of the voice cast for the 2016 movie ‘Absolutely Anything’, in which he lends his voice for the character of Dennis the dog.
