The last we saw of Hulk or his alter-ego Dr. Bruce Banner, they were flying a plane off to a place nobody knows where, therefore leaving the Black Widow's heart broken.
She and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. tried desperately to find Banner, but he was simply nowhere to be found. But now, it looks like the big green superhero will be making an appearance in Marvel's next movie "Captain America: Civil War."
It has been known that the movie will be one huge battle between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, who play Captain America and Iron Man, respectively. Their issue might be due to Bucky Barnes, also known as the Winter Soldier.
Captain America wants to save his good friend Barnes, while Iron Man might be searching for him to seek revenge for killing his parents.
A lot of other superheroes have been included in the line-up of cast as well, including the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), the Vision (Paul Bettany), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and War Machine (Don Cheadle).
Now, Mark Ruffalo, the actor who plays the Hulk is saying that his character will be getting a piece of the action in "Captain America: Civil War" too.
"If Robert Downey, Jr. says I'm in 'Captain America,' I'm in 'Captain America,'" Ruffalo laughingly told HitFix. "And I will wait for the day that my call sheet shows up at my doorstep or my script. At this point, I'm told that I'm in it by Robert, which I'll take as biblical, but I just haven't heard or seen from production yet."
Ruffalo said that things happen at the last minute in the filmmaking industry, so there would always be room for Hulk in "Captain America: Civil War."
The Hulk has had his fair share of standalone movies in the past, but now that Ruffalo is playing him, having a Hulk standalone movie would be a breath of fresh air. The actor remains optimistic that the studio has plans in that direction, since he has signed on to appear as the character four more times.
"I think it's four now, but that could always go further. That could include different - I could show up in another character's movie; I could do Avengers 3 and 4; I could do a Hulk standalone; I could do a combination of those things. That's four or five, I think," he earlier said.
