A lot of movies prefer to keep their plots and storylines a secret, and wait until the movie has been released before talking about whatever shocking twists and revelations they had planned out. However, "Terminator: Genisys" wants to break away from that fold and answer fans' questions even before its July 1, 2015 release date.
It has already been revealed earlier that there will be a major plot change for a key character. (Clue: A good guy turns out to be the bad guy, therefore breaking another key character's heart). And now, Emilia Clarke, who plays Sarah Connor in the upcoming movie has divulged another secret, this time pertaining to Arnold Schwarzenegger's character.
"Skynet tried to send someone to kill Sarah's parents. And the person who comes to her rescue and saves her life is Guardian," she said.
According to Cinema Blend, Clarke's statement reveals volumes - it means that Skynet was not just after her, but her entire family. Schwarzenegger's Guardian might have developed a good relationship with Sarah's son John, but it's nothing compared to what he had with Sarah.
She was literally raised by Guardian, and they have become so close that she even calls him "Pops."
Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger has teased that his character will be "taking a beating or two" so fans might be holding on to the edge of their seats as Guardian faces off with machines that are stronger and more advanced than he is.
"There are different stages of deterioration for the T-800," Schwarzenegger told The Guardian. "Stage one is scratches, stage two is worse. This is stage five, and there's a stage six after this, so I will definitely be taking a beating or two."
He is extremely proud to be reprising his role once again for the Terminator franchise, and added that there are no other actors who are as fortunate as he is to be playing such a well-loved character over and over again.
"It's terrific because I think very few times, if any, can I remember that the same person has been involved in the same franchise, from 1984 to 2015, over 30 years. I don't know of another example, not James Bond, not Batman - the actors always change. There are no others," he said.
Given his success, Schwarzenegger also has some pearls of wisdom to other inspiring actors, or anybody in general: "Have a clear idea of what you're doing; don't listen to the naysayers; work (hard); give something back, don't just take."
