The star-studded 2015 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday also served as the platform for the first ever red carpet appearance of the multi-awarded singer and songmaker, Carrie Underwood, according to Rolling Stone. With 13 trophies now under her belt from the prestigious award giving body, Underwood makes history as the most honored artist in the genre.
In her acceptance speech for the Female Video of the Year award, Underwood shared that the song, "Something in the Water," is "very special" to her. Apart from disclosing this detail, the country singer told the crowd that the awards show is the first she attended since she gave birth to her little boy, Isaiah. Underwood went on to say that her son "inspired" her so much just by being in her life.
Another notable face during the 2015 CMT Music Awards was the champion of "Dancing With The Stars" Season 20, Rumer Willis, according to E Online. Dressed in a sexy white dress, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore even shared a photo of her in Instagram on the way to the awards show. Apart from Rumer, the 2015 CMT Music Awards also saw the arrival of "Dancing With The Stars" alum Noah Galloway and host Erin Andrews.
Meanwhile, newlyweds Ian Somerholder and Nikki Reed were in attendance as well. Looking dashing and gorgeous in white, the "Twilight" star wowed the crowd as she posed with her "The Vampire Diaries" star husband in the red carpet, based on a separate E Online report.
