Disney's latest animated film "Zootopia" will once again tell a story of adventure based on the perspective of animal characters, just like it did with "Robin Hood" and "The Great Mouse Detective."

According to USA Today, "Zootopia" tells the story of a clever con artist fox named Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman and rabbit rookie cop Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin). The two unlikely allies team up to solve a case that is written by Jared Bush (who previously worked on 'Big Hero 6').

Co-director Rich Moore (who also worked on 'Wreck-It-Ralph'), described the film as the tale of two species "who would naturally never hang out or like one another in the beginning, but over the course of the movie develop a relationship and become friends."

Bateman was reportedly cast as Nick because of his flawless wit and ability to deliver funny lines with a bit of heart.

"He's a crafty, sarcastic schemer, and that I've been doing in parts since I was 12," Bateman describes his character Nick. "I foolishly said, 'What kind of voice do you guys want me to do?' And they just looked at me like I was an idiot and said, 'Just do what you do. Just talk.'"

As for Goodwin's Judy, filmmakers said that the actress delivers "very centered sweetness, tremendous heart and a great sense of humor." However, Judy has an unexpected short fuse that takes her from the idealistic Pollyana and into Furiosa from "Mad Max: Fury Road."

"She gets hoppity emotionally. People mistake kindness for naivete or stupidity, and she is a good girl through and through. But she's not a dumb bunny," Goodwin describes her character.

Both Bateman and Goodwin are pretty excited over their new roles, and it looks like "Zootopia" is shaping up to be a new and exciting world for children to enjoy. It is "as fully immersive as though you walked into Disneyland," said Goodwin. "This movie is begging for an entire division of the theme park."

Bateman's daughter Francesca, who is eight years old, just might be the first kid lining up for an entrance to that new world. "I showed her the teaser the other day on my computer," said Bateman. "And she looked at me like, 'Oh, so that's where you disappear to. Okay, you actually do something I like.'"

"Zootopia" will make its premiere on cinemas on March 4, 2016.
