Taiwanese tech firm HTC has released two new smartphones in India.

First unveiled in April of this year, both the One E9+ and Desire 326G have dual SIM support and are now currently available to consumers.

Through the release of two different models, HTC is able to offer users a choice between a high-end device and an entry-level gadget, Phone Arena reported. The One E9+ Dual SIM costs Rs 36,790 or around $575 while the Desire 326G Dual SIM can be purchased for Rs 9,590, which is almost equivalent to $150.

The dual SIM variant of the One E9+ sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS LCD display. Its screen has a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and packs a pixel density of 534ppi.

For its processor, HTC powered the handset with the 64-bit octa-core MT6795M chipset from MediaTek. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be pushed to a maximum of 128GB through a microSD card.

The handset features a 20-megapixel wide-angle rear camera and a 4-ultrapixel selfie snapper. For its OS, the device runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipo-based Sense 7 UI.

HTC's budget-friendly device, the Desire 326G, on the other hand, is equipped with a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front shooter.

The device's processor is a 1.2GHz quad-core Speadtrum SC7731G chipset. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB if built-in storage which can be expanded to 32GB with a microSD card.

The out-of-the-box Desire 326G runs on the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with Sense UI.

Although the Desire 326G features relatively low-end specs, HTC South Asia President Faisal Siddiqui noted that the handset is designed as a practical device that's meant for everyday use.

"The Desire 326G Dual SIM is a great phone for everyday, we have created a classy and stylishly designed smartphone with great features," he said during the launch according to NDTV.

"HTC Desire 326G Dual SIM is made of strong polycarbonate material, and is designed to fit just nice in your hands," Siddiqui added. "It is also comfortable to hold and feature-packed at an incredible value, a phone for everyone."

There are no details yet as to when the two new devices from HTC will debut in other countries.
