For the first time since news broke out that Tracy Morgan and Walmart settled their legal dispute, the "30 Rock" star appeared in an interview to discuss his struggles and the pain of losing a very dear friend. In a discussion with the host of Today, the actor revealed the details behind his ordeal and how he cope with the loss.

"I can't believe I'm here. I can't believe I'm in front of you," said Morgan to the show's host, Matt Lauer. "I can't believe I'm just here, and just seeing the tragedy that happened. It touches me," he added. Talking about his experiences following the incident, Morgan shared that he has "good days and bad days." He then went on to describe the "bad days" as the times when he fails to recall things. He disclosed, "There are times where I get the headaches, and the nose bleeds. I won't even let my lady know because I don't want her to be worried about it."

In an interview with People, Morgan said that his at 75 percent in terms of his recovery. He shared, "Sometimes I feel a little off, I might forget things." However, the comedian remains strong and continues to hurdle every obstacle along the way. "My doctors tell me, my family tells me, 'You are getting better,' so that is the ray of hope and my inspiration," he said.

Prior to the interview with Today, it was reported that Morgan settled the legal dispute with Walmart. In a statement, the comedian said, "Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably." The actor suffered from broken leg bones, nose, and ribs due to the deadly crash.

As for the man who died as a result of the incident, James McNair, otherwise known as Jimmy Mac, his family settled the wrongful death suit they filed against Walmart as well. USA Today reports that the out-of-court settlement agreed upon by the company and the heirs of McNair states that Walmart denies responsibility on the demise of the 62-year-old.

With regard the settlement, Morgan said that "the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mac" despite the amicable agreement reached by all parties involved in the heartbreaking incident. He added, "Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal."

As for his road to recovery, Morgan said that he has certain things in mind to motivate himself. He said in the People interview, "I want to walk my wife down the aisle." He added that he is "determined" to play with his daughter, 23-month-old Maven, and "chase her around." He continued, "All of those things [are] what keeps me going."
