Robert Downey Jr., who plays the arrogant but lovable billionaire Tony Stark also known as Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is once again whetting the appetite of fans for "Captain America: Civil War," which will star Chris Evans as the title character.
"We work weekends, for your viewing pleasure," he wrote as a caption on a photo he posted on his personal Instagram account. He took the picture of himself wearing a red hat with black glasses and yellow lenses, and tagged the location at Cliftondale, Georgia.
He even added the hashtag: "Pick your side."
According to spoilers, good friends Stark and Steve Rogers (Cap) will be going against each other, probably because of the Winter Soldier, also known as Bucky Barnes. It seems like everybody in the movie is on the lookout for Barnes for personal reasons.
The Cap and Falcon are looking for him to save him, but Stark has an agenda of his own. The Winter Soldier, while he was still being manipulated by HYDRA reportedly killed Stark's parents, and the eccentric billionaire is out for revenge.
The film, which is directed by filmmaking brothers Joe and Anthony Russo will also feature an impressive line-up of superheroes, including Scarlet Johanssen as the Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as the Vision, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, and Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, among many others.
The official synopsis for the movie reads: "After an international incident from the Avengers results in collateral damage, politicians form a system of accountability and a governing body that forces superheroes to work for the government which causes a clash alongside Tony Stark and Captain America."
Downey is not the only one who is shooting scenes for "Captain America: Civil War" though. Even creator Stan Lee, who is known for appearing in superhero movies such as Avengers, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, and many others has said, "I just finished my cameo in the new Captain America movie the day before yesterday in Atlanta."
Lee even jokingly said that "they should stop calling them cameos and start calling them supporting roles." In "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Lee even got to shoot for two cameos instead of his usual one. The only thing that was different from that movie was that there was no more post-credit scene.
"Captain America: Civil War" has been slated for release on May 6, 2016.
