Motivational speaker, renowned evangelist, and international best-seller Nick Vujicic, 32, recently posted photos of himself and his family on Facebook.
Vujicic posted three photos of himself and his son Kiyoshi in a stroller, and captioned, “Our sweet summer afternoon, Daddy taking Kiyoshi out for a roll.”
The photos showed the stroller attached to his own automatic wheelchair, and currently has over 860,000 likes and over 40,000 shares on Facebook.
“You set a fantastic example for us all,” commented one Facebook user.
Many Facebook users gave praise to God in response to the photos, saying that "God is powerful," and that this "shows how wonderful our God is."
Vujicic married Kanae Miyahara in 2012, and without any other medical help, the couple gave birth to Kiyoshi in February of 2013.
At the time, Vujicic said in an interview, “My parents asked my wife Kanae, ‘If you were to give birth to a child with no limbs, what would you do?’ and she answered, ‘It’s okay, since the child would have Nick as a great role model. Even if we were to have five children with no limbs, I would love all of them just as I love Nick.’”
Vujicic recently visited Koreatown in Los Angeles to speak in a seminar at an event hosted by the America Wheat Mission, a missional organization that serves people with disabilities, in 2011.
“Hope is definitely everything. Being thankful for all that you have is the source of healing for the heart and soul,” he said at an interview during the event. “When you aren’t thankful, then you’re led to give up, but that’s operating out of fear,” he added.
He explained that hope is the “strength” that allows him to nurture his child.
