The latest rumors swirling around Apple's iPad Pro suggest that the 12-inch tablet may feature a split-screen mode.

Aside from this, the rumored gadget is also expected to come with multi-user login support, 9to5Mac reported.

Talks about Apple's split-screen mode emerged back when the iOS 8 was still in development. However, since it didn't come out with the OS, many users assumed that the Cupertino-based company dropped the project.

But according to an insider, Apple has resurrected the feature and is currently working on including it for iOS 9, which is the expected OS of the upcoming iPad model.

With the split-screen mode, users will be able to view their apps and other programs side-by-side. In addition, they'll have the option to view and use them in 1/2, 1/3 and 2/3 screen sizes. The feature will also include support for viewing the same app in multiple angles.

Christian Post explained that with this feature, users will be able to zoom in on a photo file while working with the image editor's toolbox at the same time.

Given the iPad Pro's large 12-inch display, Apple will be able to take advantage of the split-screen mode without sacrificing the visual quality for users.

Aside from this, the insider noted that the iOS 9 for the iPad Pro will have support for multi-user logins. This means family members can share a single tablet by creating their own profiles.

Through the multi-profile system, each registered user will get individual access to his or her apps, documents and other files in the tablet.

Despite the abundance of leaked information regarding the iOS 9 and the iPad Pro, Apple is still yet to make an official announcement to confirm their features. The company will probably do so during this summer's WWDC event.

Various sources noted that these features might get changed as the tablet and operating system go through their respective testing phases.
