Should there be a Spider-Gwen movie, hot Hollywood actress Emma Stone said that she would be "raring to go" put the superhero suit on and get into character.
Stone played Gwen Stacy in two "Amazing Spider-Man" movies, which she co-starred together with her real-life beau Andrew Garfield (their relationship status currently remains undetermined since they broke up for a while but have been seen together since then).
Garfield will no longer play Spider-Man in the next film, and will be replaced by a much younger actor, probably "Ender's Game" Asa Butterfield, but there is still hope that Stone would be reprising her character in a spin-off movie called Spider-Gwen. Should it push through, Stone already told MTV News that she would definitely be up for it.
Her answer was partly non-committal, partly excited, and partly confused. She said, "Yeah, I don't know. I know nothing about it, but I have read Spider-Gwen. That's all I know. I think a lot of pieces would have to come together."
Gwen Stacy is known for being Peter Parker's first love, who was unfortunately killed off by Spider-Man's nemesis Norman Osborn, also known as the Green Goblin. As Spider-Gwen, her character is still the same person, only this time, she is the one who possesses superhero characteristics and not her boyfriend Peter Parker.
As a superhero, Gwen becomes one tough female who is a member of a band called the Mary Janes, and she's also an avid spray painter. Parker, on the other hand, takes on the role of Lizard, who is bent on exacting revenge on those who bullies him. Gwen tries to subdue him, but Parker dies in the end because of a chemical he used. As a result, Spider-Gwen is blamed for his death and she becomes the subject of a manhunt instigated by J. Jonah Jameson. Even her own father, who is a police chief is also working hard on finding her.
During a gig, an assassin was sent to kill her father, but Spider-Gwen manages to stop him. While they were alone, Captain Stacy holds Spider-Gwen at gunpoint, forcing her to unmask herself. Upon seeing his daughter, Captain Stacy decides to let her go.
Bigger things are in store for Spider-Gwen after that, since she is recruited by the Spider UK team together with other Spider-Totems from the universe. She goes on to save the world in different dimensions too, and one of her villains is called the Vulture.
