Asus has launched its latest laptop, the Zenbook UX305 in India.

As for those living in the U.S., the company will be selling a limited edition version of the laptop through its website along with the standard model.

The basic model of the Zenbook UX305 comes with a 13.3-inch display full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Despite the massive display size, which is bigger than Apple's 12-inch MacBook, the Zenbook UX305 is only 12.3mm thick and weighs around 1.2kg.

It comes with the Windows 8.1 OS and is powered by the Intel Core M5Y10 chipset. Its GPU is the Intel HD Graphics 5300.The Zenbook UX305 is also equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of solid state drive.

Asus' latest laptop has a price tag of Rs 49,999 and will be available to consumers in India through Flipkart and selected Asus stores, NDTV has learned.

As for its U.S. counterpart, Asus will only sell 200 units of the Zenbook UX305 Crystal White Limited Edition. At $999 per unit, this version features better specs than the basic model.

For one, Asus has swapped the Intel Core M5Y10 with the faster and more powerful M5Y71 chipset. This chipset clocks in at 1.2GHz and can reach up to 2.9GHz.

Another upgraded feature of the Crystal White Limited Edition is its internal storage. For this model, Asus has doubled the laptop's solid state drive to 512GB. Aside from this, the Zenbook UX305 for the U.S. has 8GB of RAM, Tech Radar reported.

Although the Crystal White Limited Edition still has a 13.3-inch display, it has a resolution of 3200x1800 pixels.

Like the basic version, the limited edition model also runs on the Windows 8.1 OS.

The network connectivity options of both devices are supported by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Both models are currently available but the Zenbook UX305 Crystal White Limited Edition can only be purchases through Asus' online store. The basic model, on the other hand, is only available in selected retailers and has a U.S. price of $699.
