A lot of hype has surrounded the anti-hero movie Suicide Squad, but not much is known about its diverse characters aside from the ones played by Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto, who will be Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and The Joker.
So how about the others? Empire Online helped by compiling all the members of Suicide Squad and shared some details about them:
Rick Flag Jr. will be played by Joel Kinnaman, who is a former fighter pilot who suffered from a tragic encounter (his entire unit was wiped out). He agreed to lead the squad but does not relish the thought of working with villains.
Flag's character has a lot of beef against Deadshot, also known as Floyd Lawton. He has a reputation for being the world's greatest marksman and has been hired several times as an assassin. He has an insane death wish, but at the same time is driven to protect his estranged ex-wife and daughter.
The Joker is a popula villain who has trademark white skin and multi-colored hair. A lot of people think he's insane but he seems reformed in the upcoming movie.
Harley Quinn is his long-time girlfriend who has an alter-ego as a talented psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzelc. She has a thing for madness, violence, and unpredictability, and can often be seen indulging on a murderous frenzy every time her relationship with The Joker hits a speed bump.
Captain Boomering, also known as George "Digger" Harkness will be played by Jai Courtney. He is an Australian thug who uses boomerangs to commit his crimes. He almost killed The Flash at one point, and he has an abrasive personality and goes on racist outbursts.
Cara Delevigne, meanwhile, will be Enchantress. As Enchantress, the character has the ability to heal, teleport, walk through walls, and affect any non-living object with her magic.
On the other hand, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will be the Killer Croc, an enemy of Batman's who has a crocodile-like appearance. He did not have an easy childhood because of his reptilian traits, but he does have super strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, senses, and is an excellent swimmer to boot.
El Diablo will be played by Jay Hernandez, who was known for burning down a building containing gang members who owed him a debt. But when he found out that there were innocent women and children who were inside the building, he turned himself over to the police. While on death row, he was pushed into the squad where he will use his ability to control fire.
Adam Beach will be Slipknot, whose alter ego is Christopher Weiss. He is an ordinary employee of a chemical company who managed to develop a formula for durable, powerful ropes.
Karen Fukuhara will be Katana, also known as Tatsu Yamashiro. Everything was fine with her until her husband's brother made the moves on her and she decided to kill him using a sword known as the "Soultaker." Her family is killed, and she trains under a master called Tadashi until she is recruited by the squad.
Lastly, Viola Davis will be Amanda Waller, the only one in the squad who has no superpowers. However, she is highly trained in logistics, strategic management, military tactics, game theory, espionage and martial arts.
