Online leaker Evan Blass, also known as Twitter user @evleaks, has revealed images of what appears to be LG's upcoming tablet.
Named as the LG G Pad X, the tablet sports an 8.3-inch display and features logos for Verizon, Droid-Life reported.
Blass leaked the images of LG's tablet along with new information regarding Verizon's upcoming devices.
Based on the leak, the LG G Pad X looks similar to its predecessor, the LG G Pad 8.3, except for a few minor details. Although the two tablets sport the same display size, the location of the dual speakers have been moved.
In the LG G Pad X, the speakers are now located on the rear side's long edge, instead of the on short one as seen in the G Pad 8.3. The position of the camera was also transferred to the upper left corner of the tablet, above the speakers, according to Pocket Now.
The casing of the LG Pad X features a brushed aluminum design and has the Verizon logos on both the front and rear side.
The exact details of the LG G Pad X are still unclear but based on the leaked image, the out-of-the-box unit of the tablet will probably run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG's UX 4.0.
As for its processor, the LG G Pad 8.3 runs on the Snapdragon 600 chipset.
Since the LG G Pad X is a successor model, the South Korean tech firm might equip it with a more powerful processor such as the Snapdragon 808, which the company used for its latest flagship smartphone, the LG G4. Or, it could go with the Snapdragon 810 since Qualcomm has already clarified that the chipset does not suffer from overheating issues.
Aside from the LG G Pad X, Blass also noted that the iPad Mini 4, Xperia Z4 and the Desire 526 devices are also expected to arrive to Verizon in the near future.
