People who are so used to seeing Kit Harrington's grim facial expression as Night's Watch commander Jon Snow in Game of Thrones might raise their eyebrows when they see him take on a role in a comedy movie, but this is exactly what the actor has done in the summer flick called 7 Days in Hell and hopes to do in Zoolander 2.
"I've got a comedy out this summer called 7 Days In Hell with Andy Samberg, which is coming out in July, but I really want to do more of that," Harrington said as reported by Marie Claire.
When asked if he would like to be involved in Ben Stiller's fashion comedy Zoolander 2, Harrington replied: "Of course I would, I'm putting it out there, yeah," he said. "I'd like to play a character in Zoolander 2, I don't want to play myself."
Aside from Game of Thrones, Harrington is known for his roles in adventure films such as Pompeii and Seventh Son, and he will next be seen in the drama thriller called Spooks: The Greater Good.
Should he manage to nab a role in the highly anticipated comedy film, Harrington will be joining Stiller who plays Derek Zoolander, Owen Wilson who plays Hansel, Christine Taylor as Matilda Jeffries, and Will Ferrell as Mugatu.
Earlier, Stiller revealed on his Instagram account that his character Derek actually has a son in the sequel, and his son is played by actor Cyrus Arnold. The photo showed Derek driving a car with his son on the passenger's seat, and the latter does not look too happy. The awkward-looking kid with the bad hair looks nothing like his fashionable dad, and it seems like their personalities will be poles apart. It's a safe bet that their father and son moments will be a huge riot in the film.
Former Victoria's Secret angel and supermodel Karlie Kloss will also be making her acting debut in Zoolander 2, after fellow supermodel Gigi Hadid turned the role down.
At the same time, Stiller confirmed that another actor from the original film will be back for the sequel, and he is none other than Mugatu's assistant, to be played by Nathan Lee Graham.
Other big names who will be a part of Zoolander 2 include Penelope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, and Justin Bieber. What's more, Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian are reportedly in talks to do a cameo in the sequel, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
