Xiaomi has officially launched its latest smartphone with high-end features, the Mi Note Pro.
First unveiled in January, the Mi Note Pro shares the same features as Samsung's Galaxy S6 but comes at a cheaper price, according to ZDNet.
At around $483, it certainly costs less than the Samsung flagship smartphone's non-contract price of around $600 or $800.
But despite its low price, Xiaomi has managed to equip the Mi Note Pro with top-of-the-line specs.
For starters, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor. Although this chipset has been plagued by rumors about its overheating issue, Xiaomi stated that these problems have been resolved and it is using the version 2.1 of the SoC.
To prove this, Xiaomi ran a benchmark test comparing the Mi Note to other devices using the first version of the Snapdragon 810, such as the HTC One M9 and LG Flex 2, GSM Arena reported. The results showed that Xiaomi's device outperformed the two smartphones without overheating.
For its display, the tech firm equipped it with a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The screen features Sunlight Display technology that provides optimum visibility even in outdoor conditions.
The device sports a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and f/2.0 aperture lens. On the front side, the Mi Note Pro has a 4-megapixel secondary camera.
Like the Galaxy S6, the 3090mAh battery of Xiaomi's latest handset has quick charging capabilities. This means it can be charged to 70 percent in just one hour.
The mobile device has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash storage. It also features support for LTE Cat 9 which can provide download speeds of up to 450Mbps.
The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is expected to be released on May 12 of this year. The device will be available exclusively in China on its release date and there are no details yet as to when the Mi Note Pro will enter the U.S.
