Two new names have been added to MGM and Sony's remake of The Magnificent Seven, and they are Aquaman and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa and G.I. Joe actor Byung-hun Lee.

The two stars will be joining the star-studded cast led by Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and Vincent D'Onofrio, reports Deadline.

Korean actor Lee will be getting the role of gun-for-hire Billy Rocks, while Momoa's role in the film has only been described as "heavy."

Lee is well-known for participating as the villain in the two G.I. Joe movies, but he will be playing a meatier role in Terminator: Genisys by bringing to life a T-1000 cyborg that has amazing liquifying capabilities, which was first seen in Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

As for Momoa, he earlier said that he does not mind being typecast into a specific character, since people have already associated him with tough guy roles. But more recently, he revealed that he wants to do more than just play angry thugs who don't speak much and "stretch" more as an actor, so maybe he will get to do just that in the upcoming movie about a group of guns-for-hire trying to get the better of outlaws.

The Magnificent Seven's story takes place in a Mexican village that is suffering from the evil doings of Calvera, the leader of a band of outlaws. Because the townspeople are too afraid to stand up for themselves, they hire seven American gunslingers to get rid of Calvera and his men. What they do is train the villagers to defend themselves as they set up a trap for Calvera and his men.

Of course, no story from the west will be complete without a beautiful leading lady, and the role has been given to American actress Haley Bennett, best known for her roles in Music and Lyrics, The Equalizer, and The Haunting of Molly Hartley.

The actress has such a lovely voice that she sang several songs for the film Music and Lyrics, which starred Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, including "Buddha's Delight" and "Way Back into Love."

Because of her role as pop superstar Cora Corman, Bennett managed to work on a music album and even hold a live concert of her own.

The Magnificent Seven will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, produced by Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black while Walter Mirisch and Fuqua are executive producers. It has been scheduled for release on January 13, 2017.
