The whole world is thrilled that Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton have finally given birth to a baby girl, and while news about her name still remain a mystery, the first few guests of the royal baby aren't.
Prince William's father Prince Charles and his wife Camilla immediately paid a visit to the princess, according to a Kensington Palace spokesman, while Kate's parents and her sister Pippa also visited.
ABC News also revealed that William's brother Prince Harry was unable to meet his new niece in person because of other concerns, but he made sure to leave this message: "She is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to meet her."
As for the proud parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate are both on cloud nine because of their lovely daughter, and they are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support they have received from the public.
"The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world," a Kensington Palace spokesman said. "It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter."
The couple showed off their new daughter to the world on Saturday evening, as they stood outside the palace's Lindo Wing. The baby is wrapped in a white blanket carried by Kate, who is wearing a bright yellow dress.
Kensington Palace reported the Kate gave birth at 8:34 a.m. local time Saturday, and the baby, who is fourth in line to the throne, weighed in at 8 pounds and 3 ounces. Both mother and daughter are reportedly doing well.
A lot of curiosity and excitement have followed what would be the possible name of the royal baby, with Alice, Charlotte, and Diana leading the pack.
When her brother, Prince George Alexander Louis was born back in 2013, Prince William and Kate took two days before announcing his name and waited until Queen Elizabeth II met her great grandson.
They might do the same with the princess, who is scheduled to meet her great grandmother soon.
Other name contenders include Olivia, Victoria, Elizabeth, and Alexandra, but if the royal couple decides to go the sentimental route, then Diana would be the clear winner, since it was the name of Prince William's beloved mother, who lost her life in a tragic car accident.
But just like her brother, the princess might be given multiple names so there is a huge chance that all the names that have been suggested might be used.
