'Modern Family’ is an American comedy television series that interviews the members of a fictional interracial family in a parodical documentary. The Pritchetts, Dunphys, and Tuckers live in the suburbs and are a part of one extended family. The show was created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan. Jay, Claire, and Mitchell are members of the Pritchett family. Jay is a divorcée who re-married with Gloria, a young Colombian bombshell with a love-obsessed teenage son named Manny. Jay and Gloria have a baby together named Joe. Claire is married to Phil Dunphy, a passionate real estate agent. Claire and Phil's three children are Alex, Haley, and Luke. Alex is a bookworm, Haley loves to party, and Luke is mischievous. Mitchell, a lawyer is married to Cameron Tucker. Mitchell and "Cam" have a daughter named Lily who they adopted from Vietnam.
In "Patriot Games," Gloria studies for her U.S. citizenship exam. Javier, her ex-husband makes a surprise visit and distracts her from her goal. Mitch and Cam decide to join a mob of protestors. Together they protest against a restaurant. Alex has to compete with her rival Sunjay to become the sole Valedictorian at her high school graduation. Alex and Sunjay must run a mile to receive a better grade in gym class.
