EDM DJ Calvin Harris and singer Taylor Swift's budding relationship received top media coverage in Spring 2015. Harris took it to Instagram to inform the public that he has officially met Swift's two children Doctor Olivia Benson and Detective Meredith Grey. Harris posted a viral photo of the two felines on Wednesday, April 29.
Olivia is seen standing on her two hind legs while holding up two paws. She’s on a red patterned rug. Her eyes are dilated as though looking at a treat. Meredith is lurking in the background atop Swift’s wooden floor, standing on all four paws in front of Swift’s white oven and cabinet. Meredith has a look of curiosity on her face whilst gazing in Harris’ direction. The photo's caption is "moment."
Meredith is a dark grey Scottish fold cat with a white belly. She is named after Doctor Meredith Grey from ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ She was purchased by Swift on Halloween Day of 2011. Meredith has appeared in videos on Youtube, Vine, and ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.' Her Twitter account is @MeredithKitty. She has 12K followers.
"Happy. Furry. Confused. Hungry. At the same time," states Meredith's Twitter profile, a parodical reference to Swift's hit single '22.'
Olivia, also known as Dibbles is a white Scottish fold cat named after Detective Olivia Benson from ‘Law & Order: SVU.’ She was purchased on June 2014. Olivia appeared in a October 2014 Diet Coke commercial and Swift’s ‘Blank Space’ music video. Olivia’s Twitter account is @OliviaBSwift. She has 2235 followers.
"Taylor Swift is my mom. Meow," states Olivia's Twitter profile.
Scottish folds are a rare breed of cats known for their genetic mutation. The mutation causes the ear cartilage to fold. They can cost up to $1000. The high demand for Scottish folds often cause sellers to make a waiting list for buyers.
