It looks like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's brood will soon welcome another member as the couple are reportedly seriously considering adopting a child from Syria, according to Express UK.

According to the report, the couple's plan to adopt a child from the said country was revealed by a business associate privy to such matters. The source disclosed that Jolie was "moved to tears on several occasions over the plight of youngsters orphaned in the Syrian conflict."

The source went on to share that the idea of adopting another child from Syria was merely temporarily set aside to prioritize the health concerns that plagued Jolie since two years ago. With the recent conclusion of yet another successful operation, the couple feel that it might be a good time to add another angel to their family.

"Now she has sorted out her health issues, she and Brad believe the time is right to adopt another orphan from there, most likely a daughter," the source stated, adding that the Unbroken director is "feeling good about turning 40 in June with a clean bill of health." However, the source shared that the happiness of the actress will definitely reach new heights if she and her husband could successfully bring home another sibling to join their family. "What will make her happiness complete is seeing a new little face at the dinner table," the source claimed.

The desire to adopt a Syrian child was described by the source to be "something that has become very close to their [Pitt and Jolie] hearts." Hence, the couple wish to accomplish it, if possible, before the end of summer because, even though they are both busy, their diaries are relatively light for most of 2015."

Earlier this year, Jolie has been the center of yet another issue involving her health when the Maleficent actress announced her decision to undergo a laparoscopic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.  Her move sparked various debates from experts and members of the public who either fully supported and commended her decision or blasted her for her announcements.

"The medical community thanks Angelina Jolie for doing what she has done because it does increase awareness. Ovarian cancer is a terrible disease," announced Dr. Marcus Bernardini, one of the surgical oncologists working at Toronto's Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, after the group learned of Jolie's courageous move. "The most important message that needs to get out there is there is no effective screening for the type of ovarian cancer that she was at risk for," he added.
