'Record Store Day' happens every third week of April to celebrate record stores worldwide. It began in 2007. The event is a spinoff of Comic Book Day. Musicians press records for the special day and distribute their records to certain shops. Artists make special appearances, perform, and meet and greet with fans at shops. In 2015, the day falls on Saturday, April 18.
