Vin Diesel and the rest of the cast and crew of Furious 7 are pretty heartbroken that fellow actor and good friend Paul Walker did not live to see the success of their latest movie, but they are certain that Walker would have loved it, especially the touching tribute they paid him towards the end of the film.

In it, Walker as Brian was seen driving side by side by Diesel's character Dominic while Wiz Khalifa's song "See You Again" plays on the background. Clips of Walker throughout the whole Fast and Furious franchise was shown during that moment as well, and towards the end, both characters' cars were seen driving towards different paths.

During the MTV Awards, Diesel belted out the song in front of a delighted audience, and he said he did it for his son, who loves singing the song. When he was interviewed after his short performance, Diesel said that Furious 8 is pretty much a done deal and it was all because Walker wanted it to happen, Hollywood Life shared.

"Paul used to say that Fast & Furious 8 was guaranteed," he said. "In some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass."

He added that there's something really special about the title of the next film too.

"So, if fate has it - fate, F8 - then you'll get it," he said. "Furious 7 was for Paul; 8 is from Paul."

Everybody involved in the eighth installment would have a really big order to fill, since fans would be expecting it to be better than the seventh film, which was a huge hit. Not only should they level up on the action scenes and car chases, but they also have to improve, if not maintain, the depths and connections fans have with their characters.

This is what Dwayne Johnson, who plays Agent Hobbs told Diesel about the next movie. "I talked to Vin today - we had a nice discussion- and I think whatever it is, whatever we come up with for Furious 8, we have to raise the bar, in terms of action, but, but also in terms of story and character," he said.

Walker died in 2013 right in the middle of Furious 7's production, so in order to finish the movie, his brothers had to step in for him as body doubles and the crew used CGI magic to make them look like Paul.
