HTC unveiled on Tuesday in India the Desire 326G with a 4.5-inch display and dual SIM capabilities.

Although the price of the latest smartphone was not revealed during the launch, HTC said it will hit local retailers' shelves sometime during the third week of May, according to NDTV.

It is not yet confirmed as to when the HCT Desire 326G will debut in other countries.

The company's newest smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera paired with a 2-megapixel front camera. It runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense UI and is powered by the 1.2 GHz Speadtrum SC7731G quad-core processor.

The smartphone has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage which can be expanded to 32 GB through a microSD card. Its 4.5-inch display screen has a resolution of 480x854 pixels. The device's connectivity options are supported by Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and Micro-USB 2.0.

According to Faisal Siddiqui, the president of HTC South Asia, the Desire 326G was designed as a functional yet affordable smartphone.

"The Desire 326G Dual SIM is a great phone for every day, we have created a classy and stylishly designed smartphone with great features," the executive said during the product's launch.

"HTC Desire 326G Dual SIM is made of strong polycarbonate material, and is designed to fit just nice in your hands," he added. "It is also comfortable to hold and featured packed at an incredible value, a phone for everyone."

Aside from the Desire 326G, HTC also unveiled during the event the One M9+ and One E9+, GSM Arena reported.

Although the One E9+'s price was not revealed, HTC said it will be cheaper than the One M9+ despite having a larger 5.5-inch quad HD display. The One M9+ with a 5.2-inch screen, on the other hand, will cost Rs 52,500, or around $840. Like the Desire 326G, both devices are also due to come out in May of this year.
