Josiah Duggar- Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s son- is officially in the process of courting a fellow Christian devotee.
In an interview with People, Josiah shared that he met Marjorie Jackson while learning Spanish from her mother, Analucia Jackson, a few years ago.
According to the ’19 Kids and Counting’ star, he had been highly impressed with the way Marjorie spent time with her siblings and showed her commitment to the Lord.
'She really caught my eye,' Josiah shared; the 18-year-old has recently been working with his father's construction company.
Meanwhile, Marjorie is reportedly living with her parents; aside from her Spanish mother-tutor Analucia, she also lives with her father Greg, who is a design director, and four younger sisters namely Genevieve, Melody, Harmony and Felicity. Residing in Springdale, Arkansas, the Jackson family lives close to Josiah and his large clan.
Shortly after the young reality star revealed his courting details to the public, Josiah officially joined Instagram to share a photo which proves that he and Marjorie are officially dating.
The 18-year-old star can be seen posing beside Marjorie as she holds a bunch of flowers.
'I'm so excited to announce that I'm courting Marjorie Jackson!', Josiah wrote as the photo’s caption.
Similar to the Duggars, Marjorie is homeschooled and actively takes part in the Christian community. At 16 years old, she published a Bible study guide titled ‘The Greatest Book You’ve Never Read: Why the Bible Is Not Only Exciting, But It Will Change Your Life!’, now made available on Amazon.
“You and I are about to embark on a journey through genres galore, viewing the Bible in full blast, high-definition color,” Marjorie stated in the book’s description. “No matter what age you are, the Bible is for you.”
The 17-year-old author is also a motivational speaker, having spoken at the NWA Beautiful Girls Retreat- a yearly getaway for Christian girls and their mothers in Bentonville, Arkansas. Josiah’s mother, Michelle, was also acknowledged as a speaker during the retreat.
According to the NWA Beautiful Girls website, Josiah’s girlfriend is also involved in musical theater, playing the piano and art, to name a few.
In 2014, two Duggar siblings went through successful courtships that eventually led to marriage. At 24 years old, Jill married Derick Dillard in 2014 whereas 22-year-old Jessa wed Ben Seewald five months later.
