HTC has unveiled the Desire 626 G+ smartphone with dual SIM capabilities in India.

The latest addition to HTC's Desire line of mobile devices is priced at Rs. 16,900, or around $271.

"We are excited to share with our customers the HTC Desire 626 G+ Dual SIM, a truly capable high speed mobile experience for all," Faisal Siddiqui, the president of HTC South Asia said during an event according to NDTV.

HTC's newest smartphone comes with a 5-inch touchscreen HD display with 720x1280p resolution. It has a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with BSI sensors. The rear camera has LED flash and f/2.2 aperture.

The front camera, on the other hand, is a 5-megapixel with f/2.8 aperture. It carries the same BSI sensors and can take full HD videos just like the rear camera.

As for its hardware, the Desire 626 G+ is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor and has 1 GB of RAM. The device has an internal storage of up to 8 GB which can be expanded to 32 GB through the use of a microSD card.

The Desire 626 G+ connectivity feature is supported by Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G.

The mobile device weighs around 138 grams and has a dimension of 146.9x70.9x8.1mm. It runs on a 2000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery.

For the device's OS, HTC opted for the Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense UI, according to Fone Arena.

The Desire 626 G+ is available in two colors: the Blue Lagoon and White Birch. The device is expected to hit retail stores in India soon but there are no official announcements yet regarding the smartphone's debut in other countries.

Aside from the Desire 626 G+, HTC also unveiled the One M9+ and One E9+ in China this week. But like the former, it is still unconfirmed if or when the two One smartphone models will hit other markets.
