Fans and followers of the widely popular Disney Channel spinoff series, Girl Meets World, could now finally relax as the show is set to return for its second season on May 11, according to Variety.

The Monday night of Disney viewers will definitely be filled with fun and memorable adventures courtesy of the gang including Riley Matthews, played by Rowan Blanchard, Farkle Minkus, portrayed by Corey Fogelmanis, and Maya Hart, brought to life by Sabrina Carpenter. Apart from the middle school kids, Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage, and Topanga Matthews, portrayed by Danielle Fishel, will be back in the spotlight as well.

The Season 2 of this Boy Meets World spinoff show will feature the growth of Riley not only physically but also emotionally, as revealed by the executive producer of the series, Michael Jacobs. "Riley's world grows this season," he revealed. "Bigger adventures and wonderful challenges await her and Maya as they come of age in the confusing world that is eighth grade, their last stop before high school," Jacobs disclosed.

The premier episode for this season will feature the adventures of best friends Riley and Maya as they eagerly start the new school year with the mission to finally get out of Cory's class. Stepping foot in a completely new environment, the two girls attempt to find their place at the John Quincy Adams Middle School while balancing school work and their social life.

Although they both seemed very excited to get out of reach and watch of Riley's meddling father, the two eventually realized that the transition to a new and supposedly more mature environment did not live up to the hype they created in their heads when they were younger.

Meanwhile, Auggie Matthews, played by Augusto Maturo, will be learning a valuable lesson this season - the art of letting go. According to Variety, Riley's younger brother will be bidding goodbye to a friend whom he holds close to his heart.

"We are grateful to our season-one audience. We know you'll love season two, and watching us grow," Jacobs said, referring to the show's hope that the fans and followers will remain perceptive to the changes to be experienced by their favorite characters.
