Motherhood has really inspired American Idol alum Carrie Underwood - so much so that she is set on dedicating new songs on her upcoming fifth studio album to her newborn son, Isaiah Michael Fisher.
The country singer knows that most of her tracks are female-centered, especially "Mama's Song," a track she co-wrote for her mother right before she got married to her hockey player husband, Mike Fisher, back in 2010.
Underwood said that music has "a whole new meaning" for her now that she is a mother herself, and she even joked to Unreality TV that she cannot wait to start writing again and produce a song for her baby boy.
"I just kind of feel a little sad 'cause all my songs are about having girls," she said, as Underwood talked about her songs including the platinum hit "All-American Girl," as well as the Blown Away album track called "Forever Changed," which is a mother's song to little girls.
"Like, little boy baby Fisher's got nothin'!," she joked, "Even 'Forever Changed,' which is one of my favorite songs, is definitely like a mother/daughter kind of a song, so... I'm gonna have to get on that."
Underwood did not say when she will be releasing her new songs and album, but she earlier said that she is "definitely" hoping to release new music before the year ends.
Underwood gave birth to Isaiah on February 27, and she shared a photo of her son's little hand on her Instagram account. She wrote, "Tiny hands and tiny feet...God has blessed us with an amazing gift! Isaiah Michael Fisher - born on February 27. Welcome to the world, sweet angel!"
After that, she shared a full body photo of Isaiah and the sleeping baby was seen holding the hockey stick used by his father for his NHL team. "The Predators are in the playoffs! Just waiting to get called up!" Underwood captioned the photo.
Aside from juggling motherhood and her music career, the country singer keeps herself busy with the launch of her new fitness clothing line CALIA by Carrie Underwood with Dick's Sporting Goods.
She said that she hopes people will love her collection, which features different workout gear in pretty prints and colors that can easily transition to errand pieces, just as much as she does.
Underwood believes that good workout clothes are essential in keeping fit, but the singer also said that the strongest weapon for every person is actually their inner strength.
