Melissa Rivers shares to the pubic one of the most heartwarming yet funny and witty letters she wrote for her mother, the late Joan Rivers, while the latter lived with her and her son in the same home, according to PEOPLE.

The letter was written in response to the late comedienne's note that she "slipped" under the bedroom door of Melissa. It first tackled the disappointment felt by the Fashion Police host's daughter when she found out that the "note" from her mother did not contain any eye opening life lessons, or "amazing, loving advice," but was instead faced with a list of requests and complaints addressed to her as the "landlord."

It went on to address the concerns raised by Joan such as the request to move Cooper's space, Melissa's son, to the laundry room in an effort to "upgrade" her accommodation. The advantages of this decision, according to Joan, include teaching the child "a life lesson about fluffing and folding." In what appears to be the trademark humor of the Rivers, Melissa patiently explained that she could not "in good conscience" approve this request.

The letter also acknowledged that Joan was indeed a "true creative genius," but Melissa had to veto her decision to break down a wall of the house to express such creativity. Moreover, the "landlord" remarked that doing so without her express permission was not only a "boundary violation" but also a "building code violation."

Melissa also touched on the relationship of Joan with Cooper, whom the late red carpet star referred to in the letter as her fellow "tenant." She gently reminded the grandmother of one to not feed the child with chips and ice cream for dinner. Melissa also said that she disapproved of her mother's decision to let the boy miss school to simply watch a movie with her especially since the film was Last Tango in Paris.

After addressing some other concerns in the letter, Joan's daughter ended it by expressing her appreciation of her mother's presence in their lives. "I love having you live with me and am very grateful for every minute Cooper and I have with you," she shared. "You are an inspiration. You are also thirty days late with the rent," Melissa added.
