A special advanced screening of Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World will be shown on June 10 in Bozeman, Montana, two days earlier than its worldwide release on June 12, and benefits of the screening will all go to the Museum of the Rockies.
KRTV reports that several key figures from the film will be attending the screening, including Frank Marshall, producer for Jurassic World. Marshall will be giving out the commentary for promotion purposes.
Meanwhile, palaeontologist Dr. Jack Horner and Robert T. Bakker will be present during the screening to answer fans' burning questions about the movie.
"For me, it's really exciting. I've worked on all the movies," Horner said. "I basically work for Steven Spielberg and my job is to make sure that the dinosaurs look as accurate as possible."
Horner is really excited about the advanced screening, since all the proceeds it earns goes to a cause he's really passionate about. "We get it a couple of days early and it's a fundraiser for the museum - it's a really a fantastic thing to do and we'll bring in some extra cool people that people would like to meet," Horner said.
Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana is known for its paleontological collections and has the largest collection of dinosaur remains in the entire United States. It is also home to the largest Tyrannosaurus skull ever discovered.
Horner said that he has been a consultant for all four Jurassic Park films, and he will talk about the changes made to the latest offering Jurassic World. He added that Museum of the Rockies significantly helped in making the movie franchise more real and accurate.
"The true science is based on what we do here at Museum of the Rockies. We are tied together pretty tightly with that movie," he said.
The palaeontologist also teased that there would be a surprise guest during the advanced screening, although he did not reveal who it will be.
The early screening costs $35 and there is a $75 VIP pre-screening party as well, which will be held at the Museum of the Rockies.
Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt will be starring in the film as Owen Grady, together with Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, Vincent D'Onofrio as Vic Hoskins, Jake Johnson as Lowery, Nick Robinson as Zach, Ty Simpkins as Gray, B.D. Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Irrfan Khan as Simon Masrani, Brian Tee as Katashi Hamada, and Omar Sy as a dinosaur tamer.
