Taylor Swift, one of America’s best-selling music artists, won three major awards at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday night. Swift is famous for her narrative songs on her personal experiences, friendships and romances. iHeartRadio is an internet radio broadcast that recommends and broadcasts music for listeners.

Swift won awards under the categories of Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for 'Shake It Off', and Best Lyrics for 'Blank Space.' She was also nominated for the Best Fan Army Award for her fan base of loyal "Swifties."

Swift is a country singer who made a debut in pop genre last year.

'Shake It Off' and 'Blank Space' are songs from her latest album entitled, ‘1989.’ The album title reflects the year she was born in. Music videos for the songs can be seen online at her Youtube channel.

All five of Swift’s studio albums have broken multiple records for selling over 4 million copies. Her recording label is Big Machine Records. She is a celebrity who uses her wealth and status to help re-build communities and raise awareness about political and public affairs.

When she lived in Nashville, she donated over $4 million to support Nashville’s education system. Her good deeds followed in her recent move to New York City.

"I don’t think I’ve told anyone this before. 'Welcome to New York' is selling really, really well, which is good because I’m donating all of my proceeds to New York City public schools," Swift said in an interview with The View.

On top of supporting her cities of residency, Swift has made countless monetary contributions to schools nationwide while advocating the importance of literacy in American youths. She is partners with the Scholastic publishing company's nationwide reading campaign.

She responds to needs of natural disaster victims across the U.S. by means of giving to the Red Cross relief fund and recording albums to raise awareness of such events. Her countless philanthropic deeds have been publicly awarded by American leaders such as Michelle Obama and Kerry Kennedy.

Swift was inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. In her music career, she received seven Grammy Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, and seven Academy of Country Music Awards.
