Ryan Reynold's latest superhero movie, Deadpool, is well on its way to wow the audience on February 12, 2016, and 20th Century Fox just created its own website and Twitter account for fans to get updates about the upcoming film.

The website even shared the movie's first official synopsis. It reads: "Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life."

Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld said that fans should thank Reynolds for the completion of the film since it was his desire to make the movie that got it moving forward. However, the ever-humble Reynolds said that it was Deadpool's fans who actually made the movie possible.

As a treat, Reynolds recently shared a photo of himself wearing the Deadpool costume and lounging somewhat seductively in front of a roaring fire. There is also a bear rug where he is posing.

"With great power comes great irresponsibility," Reynolds captioned his photo. He then jokingly added: "No bears were harmed in the making of this photo. Though many bears likely turned on."

The Canadian actor has been very active tweeting Deadpool movie updates. On March 26, he expressed happiness in filming the movie in Vancouver, saying that he left the great city a boy and now returns "a marginally taller boy."

Earlier, he teased fans about Deadpool's character, saying that sometimes the bad guy isn't the villain.

Cinema Blend shared that Deadpool's nemesis in the movie might be Garrison Kane, reportedly played by Ed Skrein. Just like Wilson, Kane was used as a subject of the Weapon X program, which enhanced his combative potential by giving him cybernetic arms.

There is a possible X-Men connection because of this since the Weapon X project was seen in the earlier X-Men movies, where they revealed Wolverine's origins. Specifically, they showed how Wolverine got his adamantium claws.

This means that Deadpool now has a shot of redeeming Wolverine's origin since a lot of fans were unhappy about the first story.

The movie is directed by Tim Miller. Aside from Reynolds, other cast members include Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, and Gina Carano.
