‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ introduces new and old cast members to the city of Metropolis. It is the first movie to incorporate both Batman and Superman on the big screen. It is an American superhero movie based on the characters of D.C. Comics. Directed by Jack Snyder, it is a sequel to the 2013 Warner Bros’ Superman movie, ‘Man of Steel.’
Batman and his alter ego Bruce Wayne are roles played by Ben Affleck. Batman fights organized crime. Bruce runs Wayne Enterprises. It is Affleck’s second time playing a superhero since his debut as the Daredevil back in 2003. The difference lies in that ‘Daredevil’ is a Marvel Comic character. He lives in an entirely separate world as Batman. Batman and the Daredevil are characters that could never meet one another.
Henry Cavill makes his second appearance as Superman and Clark Kent. Cavill was Superman in the 2013 prequel, ‘Man of Steel.’ Superman is a virtually indestructible alien from the planet Krypton. His only weakness is Kryptonite, a glowing green rock from his home planet. Clark Kent is Superman’s alter ego. Kent is a nerdy, quiet news reporter who works for the media company, The Daily Planet.
Jesse Eisenberg makes his debut as a super villain in his role as Lex Luthor. Luthor is known for his wealth, power and intelligence. He is known by the public for his charitable deeds. Residents of Metropolis are ignorant to Luthor’s evil actions. Entertainment Weekly released a photo of a serious, bald Eisenberg on Monday morning. Eisenberg is known mostly for comedies such as ‘Adventureland’ and ‘Zombieland.’ He is also famous for major roles in ‘Now You See Me’ and ‘The Social Network.’
“He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure. Our Lex is disarming and he's not fake," Snyder said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "He says what he believes and he says what's on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it's all there."
Amy Adams plays the role of Lois Lane, a reporter for the Daily Planet. Clark Kent is in love with Lois. Lois is in love with Superman. Wonder Woman is played by Diana Prince. She resembles Superman in that they both have super-strength and they both have flight capabilities. Jeremy Irons plays Alfred Pennyworth. Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne’s butler.
