Mariah Lambes is a lucky Jurassic World fan who got the opportunity to experience the dinosaur park firsthand and play an extra in the upcoming movie directed by Colin Trevorrow.
Unfortunately, Mariah suffers from lymphoma and has an upcoming bone marrow transport. When Trevorrow found out about her operation, he did something really sweet: the director wrote her a letter as a show of support and even sent her a couple of signed posters which he told her she can auction off to help pay for her medical bills.
"I can't express to you how amazed I am and how lucky I feel. This morning I received some packages from Colin Trevorrow! He sent a note saying that he remembered me from set and that he had learned about my fight and upcoming transplant," she shared. "So to help with some funds he sent me 4 theatrical posters that he signed that I can sell. He also sent me a 'keepsake': a framed still from one of my scenes. I'm still beaming," she said.
She now has a GoFundMe page where people can donate to help her pay for her treatment. The Jurassic World director is truly a class act since he even shelled out $500 to help Mariah's cause.
Mariah wrote in the page that while working at their local movie theatre, she received the amazing opportunity to star in one of the most anticipated films of the year. She worked on the Jurassic World set for 12 days and shared that the experience opened doors for her and showed her what she truly wants to do as soon as she is healthy again.
She said that she will finish her degree in film studies, so that she can work on movie sets for the rest of her life. Aside from Jurassic World, she is also a huge fan of Star Wars, Disney, and Steven Spielberg.
Jurassic World will make its premiere on June 12, 2015. The film stars Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as park operations manager Claire Dearing, Vincent D'Onofrio as head of security Vic Hoskins, Jake Johnson as Lowery, Nick Robinson as Zach, Ty Simpkins as Gray, B.D. Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Irrfan Khan as Simon Masrani, Brian Tee as Katashi Hamada, and Omar Sy as a dinosaur tamer.
