Apple conducted the third beta testing for the iOS 8.3 to developers earlier this month.
Based on leaked information, the latest update on Apple's operating system comes with new features that will make using iOS-powered devices much easier, according to Mac Rumors.
One of these features enhances the hands-free capabilities of the intelligent personal assistant Siri. For example, users can ask Siri to call a contact through the mobile device's speakers. They can do so by saying "Siri call [name] on speaker."
In iOS 8.3's predecessor, users can make the same request but Siri will not connect the call through the speaker.
Through this feature, users will now be able to call someone without putting on a headset or touching the mobile device.
In addition, 9to5Mac reported that the latest version of iOS 8.3 comes with a redesigned emoji picker and a set of new categories. However, the tech site pointed out that it is still not clear if the emojis will be fully customizable or if it will feature multicultural options.
Aside from these, the operating system comes with a menu option called Password Settings. For this feature, users will be given the option to turn off their device's password requirements when getting free content from the Apple App Store or iTunes.
Currently, this feature is still disabled and prompts a "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" message when activated. However, MacRumors noted that Password Settings will probably go live once the latest version of iOS 8.3 is released to the public.
Aside from these new additions, Apple previously fixed a keyboard-related issue through the second beta of iOS 8.3. In this version, the Cupertino-based company expanded the space bar and decreased the size of the period and Go button.
The changes were made after a number of users complained about accidentally pressing the wrong keys when typing using the Safari app.
