The full-length documentary film "Minecraft: The Story of Mojang" will make its television debut on March 22 at 8 p.m. EDT through the Fusion network.

The film follows how the indie video game became a cultural icon and gained massive support across generations of gamers, according to Gamerant.

"Minecraft: The Story of Mojang" was first aired in 2012 through the Xbox Live. It features the story of how independent game designer Markus "Notch" Persson started developing the idea behind "Minecraft."

Through the early versions of the game, Persson was able to establish a stable position in the gaming industry and create his own development studio, Mojang.

The documentary film was produced by 2Player Productions and was funded by the public through a Kickstarter campaign.

Although the film, which will air this Sunday, was already viewed by "Minecraft" fans in 2012, it will be followed by an after-show that will provided added insight to the documentary.

The program, called "Talking Minecraft," will be broadcasted immediately after "Minecraft: The Story of Mojang" at 10 p.m. EDT. The show will be hosted by the YouTube celebrities "JeromeASF" Aceti and Jordan "Captain Sparklez" Maron.

Apart from discussing the success of the "Minecraft" series, the after-show will also feature interviews and commentaries from producers of the documentary and those involved in the development of the game.

Fusion's March 22nd premiere of "Minecraft: The Story of Mojang" and "Talking Minecraft" can be seen on channel 206 and 1206 through AT&T U-Verse, channel 108 for Verizon FiOS, channel 342 on DIRECTV, channel 244 on DISH, channels 697 and 156 through Optimum, channel 238 on Mediacom and channel 105 for Google Fiber, Gamenguide reported.

Those who won't be able to watch the documentary film on Sunday can download its regular or deluxe versions through the "Minecraft: The Story of Mojang" website.
