There is still more than a year of waiting before Suicide Squad dominates the big screen, but fans cannot help but talk about anything related to the film about a group of anti-heroes saving the world.

One of the latest rumors or facts (it is still unclear) is about Ben Affleck's Batman cameo in Suicide Squad. His appearance in the film sounded great when it first broke out, since fans are eager to also see superhero crossovers in DC films.

But it is only Latino-Review reporter El Mayimbe who managed to shed light what Batman might be doing with the Suicide Squad.

On his Instagram account, he wrote about details concerning the Batman cameo and warned about spoilers: "According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates."

He said that prior to the events in another DC movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Joker is actually the only one to ever really meet him and know why he is so important to Amanda Waller.

"They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all 'the supers.' Very cool stuff," guaranteed Mayimbe.

The Suicide Squad is comprised of Deadshot played by Will Smith, Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie, Deathstroke probably played by Joe Manganiello, Amanda Waller played by Viola Davis, and a brand new Joker played by Jared Leto.

Because of Mayimbe's revelation, Screen Rant said that the earlier rumors about Ben Affleck not having to film any new footage for his Suicide Squad role might actually be true.

In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Batman is seen as an older and seasoned character who is somewhat retired since he has only been operating from the shadows for several years. His grim demeanor is all because of the fact that he lost a sidekick to the Joker.

It would be interesting to see how he interacts with Waller and the Joker in Suicide Squad.

The rebooted Batman starring Affleck will really be different from Christopher Nolan's Batman in The Dark Knight series, which starred Christian Bale. There, Batman was still in his prime even though he encountered some tragic setbacks in his mission to do good. Affleck's Batman will be seen as a heroic icon who guides the youthful Superman.

Suicide Squad will make its premiere on August 5, 2016.
