Robert Downey, Jr. has once again proven that superheroes need not use their superpowers all the time as simply extending moral support can be considered more than enough to touch another person's life. His latest act of visiting a seven-year-old boy, named Alex, to personally deliver a 3D-printed bionic arm to the child definitely melted a lot of hearts, according to The Guardian.

The "delivery" came as a surprise to Alex who walked into the room unsuspectingly only to find one of his favorite superheroes waiting for his arrival.

Although the boy looked extremely shy while interacting with the actor, the glimmer in his eyes as he gradually realized who he was talking to and what was given to him shed light on his true emotion.

Meanwhile, the Iron Man star also shared the meeting in his Facebook account. "Had the absolute privilege of presenting a brand spanking new 3D-printed bionic Iron Man arm to Alex, the most dapper 7-year-old I've ever met," Downey, Jr. posted.

As described in its official website, Limbitless Solutions is "a growing engineering community devoted to changing lives through the innovation of new bionic arm designs and development of a worldwide network of makers and thinkers."

The group is composed of volunteers from E-nable, which is a network of engineers and 3D print experts across the globe. As a team, they work together to contribute to the "3D maker movement." The organization is the brainchild of Albert Manero, a Fulbright scholar as well as a doctoral student of mechanical engineering studying at the University of Central Florida.

"Our mission is to create a world without limits, where everyone has access to the tools necessary to manufacture simple, affordable, and accessible solutions through open source design and 3D printing. We aim to lead by example, pushing the limits of ingenuity by synthesizing engineering principles with natural anatomy in our effort to replicate the human form in printed plastic," the group shared.

This initiative was carried by The Collective Project of Microsoft's OneNote, which promotes the efforts of students around the world who strive to improve the society and the lives of those living in it.

According to OneNote's description, The Collective Project focuses on "harnessing the power of the many to bring great ideas to life." The movement's goal is stated to include putting in the spotlight the "stories of these students who are making positive changes for their communities."
